Kelsea Ballerini has a brand new show on Apple Music Country, and much more to say than her songs can cover. kelsea radio has already seen the country favorite sharing some fun tidbits about her personal world, and this week was no different.

The show’s second episode premiered Tuesday (September 8), and the idea behind it had Ballerini talking up her her favorite drinking songs in honor of her new single, “Hole In the Bottle.” But she ended up admitting she’s involved in a margarita marriage. Ballerini was explaining why her husband Morgan Evans’ “Day Drunk” is one of her boozy favorites, and the reason has to do with their early days as a couple.

“This is back when we had just started dating,” Ballerini said. “I was touring non-stop, and I was planning to get home the morning of my birthday. This is my first birthday that we had together. He like had a whole cute day planned, put a lot of thought into it. But as soon as he saw me, he knew, I was just like dead to the world. I really needed a break. So instead we stayed in and celebrated with margaritas. He calls them ‘Morg’s margs.’ They’re like his specialty. They’re very good and very dangerous. I mean, like the next thing I knew we were married! If that tells you anything.”

Ballerini wasn’t done sharing, however. Another of her favorite drinking tunes happens to be by one of her best friends, and as much as she loves Carly Pearce’s “Hide the Wine,” she admitted there’s a plot hole.

So wine is what I would consider one of my love languages. And it’s been a part of many girls’ nights with my friend, Carly Pearce. So we actually met years and years ago before either of us had anything going on. We were both just trying to figure it out. So it’s been extra special to be able to celebrate each other’s victories and number ones and all that fun stuff over the last few years. But I have to say, in all those celebrations never once have we hid the wine.”
