After multiple postponements and a years-long wait for disappointed fans, Kenny Chesney is making it official: His 2022 Here and Now Tour is going ahead, and the lineup is set.

Returning to the very biggest venues the nation has to offer, one of country’s premiere headliners will make his triumphant return to football, baseball and soccer stadiums April 23 in Tampa, Florida, with Dan + Shay, Old Dominion and Carly Pearce on the bill.

In making the announcement, Chesney sounds overjoyed to share the news, and says he had no idea the COVID-19 pandemic would drag out this long. Looking back, Chesney held out hope longer than many artists that his massive shows would go ahead in the spring of 2020 — and then kept hope alive with new dates that kept getting announced and then canceled. But the time is finally right, and he intends to make the most of it.

“When we realized we weren’t getting to spend 2020 with No Shoes Nation, I never thought it would be three years until I would see my most favorite people in the world,” Chesney says. “My favorite place in the world is anywhere we all come together. They come strong. They get loud. They love the music. But most importantly, they live life – every second – for all its worth! They inspire me, and I want to get out there and get going, creating the greatest night of the summer every time we hit the stage.

“Putting this line-up together has been awesome,” Chesney goes on. “We’ve got Dan + Shay, who continue to set records with their music and have been burning it up on their own headlining tour this year. We have an old favorite, who just keep getting better, Old Dominion – it’s almost like it wouldn’t be a stadium show without them! – and one of my newest friends in Carly Pearce, whose songwriting is so personal to her own life, yet so many people find themselves in her songs.”

The 2022 Here and Now Tour will feature 21 stadium concerts, which include 19 previously announced hold-over dates and two new ones at Charlotte, North Carolina’s Bank of America Stadium and Columbus, Ohio’s Historic Crew Stadium. The run will wrap with back-to-back nights at Gillett Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, just like always.

Meanwhile, those who’ve held on to their tickets from the beginning will still have the same seats, and to celebrate the long-awaited shows, Chesney has a surprise for fans hoping to join the fun. Starting today (November 1) and running through Friday (November 5), tickets for the 19 original shows will be sold at a discount — “Five Day Party Pricing” to honor fans who normally attend multiple shows each summer.

“Let’s make this simple!” Chesney says. “It’s been a long time. No Shoes Nation moves around, shows up in lots of cities. So, to say thank you for being the most awesome people in the world, I thought this was a way to recognize the people who do more than one or two stadiums each summer!”
