Kenny Chesney Receives Special Gift
William Lee Golden, a member of the Oak Ridge Boys, has a lot more in common than just music with Kenny Chesney. Both men share a portion of their off time in St. John, USVI, an island that they both consider a second home. At Chesney’s recent tour stop in Alabama, Golden, an avid painter, presented Kenny with a painting of St. John. Golden recalls the meeting: “We were talking about our love for St. John backstage at the ACM Awards Show in Vegas. At the time, I was working on Trunk Bay and told Kenny about the artwork. I presented it to him after his performance in Alabama, and Kenny promised to hang it in his island home. I was humbled by his response and truly treasure his friendship. He�s a great entertainer and an awesome individual.”
