Kenny Chesney To Be Honored By Tennessee Sports Hall Of Fame
Kenny Chesney’s love of sports has never been a secret. From his celebirty-athlete friends showing up at his concerts to his attendance at so many sporting events, not to mention his recent documentaries, it’s safe to assume that sports may come in a close second to Chesney’s musical passion. Now, in his home state of Tennessee, Kenny is being recognized for his commitment to athletics by being named the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame’s Tennessean of the Year.
The title “honors an individual or organization that has made significant contributions to our society through sports or other methods, demonstrating strong character and high profile leadership,” Tennessee Sports Hall President Bill Emendorfer said (via The Tennessean.)
“Anyone who knows me knows I love sports – whether it's playing, watching or talking about 'em. ” Kenny has said about his love of sports.
Kenny will be awarded during a ceremony at Nashville’s Renaissance Hotel on February 11. Tickets are $125 and can be purchased by calling (615) 242-4750.
