While country stars enjoy the on-stage aspect of life on the road, it’s the backstage shenanigans they get into with their tour mates that really prove to pack on the party.

Kip Moore lined up Drake White and his band to open up for him on his Plead the Fifth Tour back in the fall of 2017, and did so out of their connection musically and personally. During a silly night backstage, Moore and White teamed up for a soulful lip-sync version of “Midnight Train to Georgia” and the results end up being rather hilarious.

Getting the band members to participate in the one-minute video as well, everyone takes on a line or two throughout the Motown song for some pretty funny moments. The guys take their work very seriously, causing even more of a laugh for viewers.

Thankfully, the time spent on the behind-the-scenes filming didn’t take away from any of the concerts played as Moore really strives to create such a fun live atmosphere for his fans. White follows that same idea, and that’s why Moore thought White would be a natural fit as his opening act.

“Our live show has been such a focus for me and the band for many years. We are constantly woodshedding and trying to come up with new ways to engage the loyal fan base we’ve developed such a bond with. I’ve always felt Drake is cut from the same cloth and his focus has always seemed to be on the things that matter. We’ve been talking about touring for years and we’re finally going to get that chance,” Moore said when the Plead the Fifth Tour was just kicking off.

The Plead the Fifth Tour will continue on just a few more weeks longer with dates lined up throughout the month of May. More information can be found on Moore’s website.
