When it’s down to someone’s ‘Last Shot’ at life, all of the stops need to be pulled out for one final hurrah worthy of a tear or two.

Kip Moore decided to change up the theme of his single, “Last Shot,” and turn it into an emotional journey for the viewers on the music video for the track. Letting the music set the scene for four friends who stopped the world with their adventures and love for one another, they learn of the sad news that one of the gang is coming down to her final moments after a tough battle with what seems to be cancer.

Flashing back to the good ol’ times with the crew messing about in shopping carts and gallivanting around their sleepy town, the one girl dreams of traveling over the sea to the City of Lights known as Paris. Once the rest of the group realizes that their pal will never see the Eiffel Tower or Arc de Triomphe, they recreate the magic of the international hub for one beautiful evening out.

The friends sneak the patient out and keep her cozy in a lit-up cart, strolling her to the night’s destination. Upon opening the door, she sees her dream brought to life with makeshift monuments and photo collages shown all around. She smiles of pure joy when her friends entertain her with kicks like the can-can dance and sticking her very own beret atop her head.

Although Moore recognized that the treatment for the music video didn’t necessarily channel right back to the song’s original sound, he wanted to make a mini-movie that left a lasting impression with a feel-good ending to get fans’ spirits up.

“When we first talked about the video for this song, I felt like I wanted to tap into the deeper meaning behind it,” said Moore in a press release. “How that feeling of desperation and realization that every second matters, can sometimes be the motivation you need to really take action. I’ve always been a big believer of living in the moment and I hope people are inspired in some way by this video to do the same.”

Fans can catch the music video for “Last Shot,” directed by Moore’s longtime friend PJ Brown, now. “Last Shot” is the second single from the Georgia native’s latest album, SLOWHEART.
