Kix Brooks Mourns Loss of Sister
Kix Brooks and his family are mourning the loss of Brooks’ older sister, Mary “Midge” Margaret Brooks Vreeland.
Midge passed away on Monday (2/17) after a long battle to cancer. According to her obituary, Midge “had a recurrence of breast cancer, which had metastasized to her brain” in 2010. She continued to fight until Monday when she passed away at her home in Gray, Maine surrounded by family and friends.
“On my way to Maine for a last goodbye to the sweetest God ever gave us,” Brooks posted to Twitter on Thursday. “RIP my sister Midge.”
