Kix Brooks Schedules ‘Good Morning America’ Performance, Announces New Single, ‘Bring It on Home’

As part of the excitement surrounding the September 11th release of Kix Brooks’ Arista Nashville solo debut album, New to This Town, Kix will perform the album’s title-track first single on the Wednesday, September 12th edition of ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

In the meantime, fans can be listening soon for Kix’s new single, “Bring It on Home,” shipping to country radio later this month, and set to hit the airwaves with an airplay impact date of September 3rd.

Penned by Kix with his longtime friends and songwriting buddies (and BMI Country Songwriters of the Year) Rhett Akins and Dallas Davidson, Kix says that “‘Bring It on Home’ is really about a guy just gettin’ back to what matters with love. I always liked the soulful attitude of this song and the kind of natural feelin’.”

Brooks adds that “Bring It on Home” is a song that rings true for him in lyrics like “all my life I’ve been running,” and Kix says, “I’ve been married a long time, but when I met Barbara, I kind of had that feeling, because bein’ a musician and livin’ in bars, it was that point, meetin’ her, when, you know, it’s like, I think I may be ready to give up this lifestyle and try somethin’ that matters a little bit more.”

Fans can pre-order Brooks’ New to This Town album HERE. The 12-song collection, with 9 co-written by Kix, was produced by Kix, with Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts co-producing the title track.
