Lady Antebellum Share a Glimpse Into Recording New Album ‘Heart Break’

Lady Antebellum are set to release their new album Heart Break on June 9 and in a two-minute clip, the country trio share a glimpse into making the record. Filmed while in Los Angeles, the video shares how Lady A got back to the basics and their beginnings as just three people in a band for their upcoming sixth album.

“What we set out to do for this project was be in a house together, cook our meals together… how do we sit in a room together and feel like it did that very first year?” Dave Haywood asks.

The camera then pans to the trio hanging out by the pool and cooking dinner together as well as writing and recording at a home studio. “We really wanted to live in the same house, get crazy creative,” Charles Kelley adds.

“Being on the road you have a lot of things pulling you in different directions but just being able to focus on songwriting, recording, making great music and enjoying doing it has been such a joy,” Haywood says.

Meanwhile, Hillary Scott promises a newfound energy is at the center of Heart Break.

“As a fan of other artists, I want to see the artist jumping out of their skin they’re so excited to perform and that’s what we will have with this record,” she says. “We’ve given each other the most undivided attention really since we started.”

Lady Antebellum hit the road later this year with Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young for their You Look Good World Tour.
