Lady Antebellum walked away from the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards with the “ultimate” honor on Sunday. While backstage chatting with reporters about their big win, Lady A’s Hillary Scott set the record straight about the ring she was sporting on her left hand.
“First of all, I’m not engaged…on the record,” Hillary exclaimed. “Whenever you wear fancy jewelry like this, you just put it on the finger that fits, and this is the finger it fit on.” (laughs)
Scott’s band-mate Charles Kelley said he warned her about wearing a ring on that finger.
“I told her not to wear that, I told her it was going to start rumors,” he said with a laugh.
“I’m not engaged yet,” added Hillary who has been dating musician Chris Tyrrell.
