Larry Stewart Spreads Joy in ‘Don’t Save It All For Christmas Day’ Video

Restless Heart singer Larry Stewart isn’t waiting to spread holiday cheer this year, gifting fans the official video for his soulful “Don’t Save It All For Christmas Day” cover.
Premiering on Sounds Like Nashville today (November 5), the track is part of Stewart’s first-ever Christmas album, Every Day Is Christmas (out now) and was written by pop diva Celine Dion, with Peter Zizzo and Rick Wake. But in the country front man’s hands, it takes on a down-home flavor that’s still filled with small-town heart. In string-laden holiday fashion, the smooth-singing star implores listeners to live like it’s Christmas all year long, and it’s video puts that idea in action.
“We loved what this Celine Dion song says from the minute we heard it,” Stewart tells Sounds Like Nashville. “We shot all of the footage, performed and edited this video with videographers, staff and friends of 5 West Media Group in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The young man is not a professional actor but what a job he did. Thanks to the vision of Denise and Mark, along with the entire staff, for their hard work in bringing the message home. That heart felt message of helping children, families and people of all types in need, not just for the holidays, but giving and caring for each other everyday, all year long. That’s something we should all strive for!”
Other tracks on Every Day Is Christmas include Michael Bublé’s “Cold December Night,” Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” and more, plus a fun guest appearance by fellow ’80s and ’90s star Pam Tillis. The title track, “Everyday Is Christmas,” is a new original co-written by Larry Stewart, and the project was produced by Brent Rader.

“As we chose these very musical, melodic and contemporary standards written by great artists, we had to peel back and make the styles of each song work for me,” Stewart says. “I’m so proud of the way my producer, Brent Rader, and I were able to achieve those goals so much more than we first imagined.”
Stewart’s solo country album, Shifting Gears, is also out now, and Restless Heart will resume their 35th Anniversary Tour once pandemic restrictions allow.
