Country singer Lauren Alaina is officially going Hollywood, finally confirming details of her starring role in the upcoming Hallmark Channel movie.

She’ll take the leading role in Roadhouse Romance, which is due to hit TV screens on September 11.

Part of the Hallmark Channel’s 2021 Fall Harvest lineup of made-for-TV movies, Roadhouse Romance features Alaina and co-stars Hallmark regular Tyler Hines, telling a typically heartwarming Hallmark-style story.

Alaina plays Lt. Callie Jackson, who returns to her small town home following a military career to find everything has changed. Faced with challenges like a struggling barbecue restaurant left behind by her late grandfather, and a former flame that’s been totally extinguished, she ultimately finds a new beginning after meeting Hynes’ character — a TV director named Luke who is just passing through town.

According to a report by Deadline, Alaina will also perform the songs “Run” and “What Do You Think Of” in the film — both from her recent Getting Over Him EP — and the country star says more surprises are in store. She first revealed her acting gig this spring but couldn’t say much, except that she was filming the project in Canada. Lauren Alaina also starred in a 2017 TV-movie based on her hit, “Road Less Traveled,” and her current single is the fun-loving Jon Pardi duet, “Getting Over Him.”

Roadhouse Romance premiere September 11 at 9 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel.
