After announcing that she’d be joining the cast of this season of Dancing With the Stars, Lauren Alaina is already shaking things up. Due to her packed dancing schedule, the Georgia native has decided to shift her previously announced That Girl Was Me Tour to a winter kick off.

The trek, which was originally scheduled to begin in September, will now start on January 15 with two consecutive dates in Nashville, TN. After her kickoff in Music City, Alaina will hit cities in Indiana, Illinois, New York, Georgia and more.

While her tour may be pushed back several months, fans can get their fix of Alaina when she appears on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, beginning in September. The “Ladies of the ’90s” singer decided to take on the ballroom challenge after talking to a close friend.

“Bobby Bones talked me into it,” she told iHeartRadio’s The Bull. She joked that if she gets eliminated in the first week, “I’m never talking to him again, that will be the end of our friendship.”

She continued, “A lot of people who worked for Dancing With The Stars worked for American Idol so I knew a bunch of people that worked there. And Bobby said when I was there that I need to do the show and I said ‘oh yeah that’d be fun!’… and they called me for the next season. So here we are!”

Dancing with the Stars premieres on ABC Monday, September 16, at 8 p.m. For more information about Lauren Alaina’s That Girl Was Me Tour, visit laurenalainaofficial.com.
