Lauren Alaina to Host ‘Jesus Calling’ Series on Circle Network

Lauren Alaina is set to explore the intersection of faith and celebrity for a new show on the Grand Ole Opry’s Circle network, hosting Jesus Calling: Stories of Faith.

Set to premiering October 6 at 8:30 p.m. ET on the new on-demand streaming network, the inspirational series will focus on faith walks and overcoming life’s obstacles, based on book of same name by Sarah Young.

Alaina will lead her guests through stories of success, loss, heartbreak, and redemption, with a wide array of stars on the lineup. Country artists like Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts, Randy Travis and wife Mary, Craig Morgan and Hunter Hayes will all be featured, and so will actress Kristin Chenoweth; TODAY’s Kathie Lee Gifford; The View’ Elisabeth Hasselbeck; Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly and plenty more.

“I was honored to be asked to host the Jesus Calling: Stories of Faith TV show,” Alaina says in an official statement. “There are a lot of things that are important to me in life, but Jesus is number one. There’s no better compliment than someone recognizing my faith and asking me to help share God’s word.”

The show is a part of Circle’s two-hour “Faith Block,” airing from 2 – 4 p.m. ET on Sundays and 8 – 10 p.m. ET on Tuesdays, beginning in October. In related news, Alaina is set to release her Getting Over Him EP on September 4, and the project’s title track featuring Jon Pardi is out now.
