Lauren Alaina and Jon Pardi brought a dose of playful energy to the 2021 CMT Awards with “Getting Over Him.”

The American Idol season 10 runner-up brought all the sass as she strutted onto the outdoor stage in a fabulous Toole-adorned ensemble and plenty of confidence to match. Alaina lit up the rural setting with her strong vocals before joining forces with Pardi, who matched her vibe with country swagger as they vowed, “My last call / First call / No falling / Just my getting over him guy,” spotlights soaring overhead, putting their natural chemistry on full display.

The track is Alaina’s latest single to country radio. She and Pardi have been soaking up the collaboration by filming a high-octane music video and performing the song on the ACM Awards. She’ll soon head out on the road opening for Florida Georgia Line on their I Love My Country Tour. Fans can also expect the Georgia native in an upcoming movie, which was filmed in Canada. Pardi also has a slew of tour dates this year, including a spot on the Faster Horses Festival lineup.

Other performances from country music’s only fan-voted awards show include Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Kane Brown, Luke Combs and more.

The 2021 CMT Awards, hosted by Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini, will air live on Wednesday, June 9 at 8 p.m. ET on CMT, MTV, MTV2, Logo, Paramount Network and TV Land. Voting is open for Video of the Year from now through Wednesday, June 9. Check out a full list of the nominees here.
