Is there really such thing as getting ready for the holiday season too early? According to the Hallmark Channel, that’s a no as they’ve already started on the schedule and production for the 2018 Countdown to Christmas.

For this year’s festivities, the network added a number of incredible talents to take on the lead roles in many of the films. One of the more familiar faces for country music fans will be seen when LeAnn Rimes puts on her acting cap for a role in the television film, It’s Christmas, Eve.

Rimes will play a character named Eve who will try to save the day for music’s sake in her hometown, and potentially fall in love along the way.

“I play Eve Morgan, who was hired to solve a situation at a school in her hometown. She has to find friends to save the music program, or shut it down. As Eve begins to learn more about the music program, she meets a handsome music teacher and single dad. I’ll let you tune in to see what happens so be sure to watch,” Rimes explained in the promo.

Of course, Rimes couldn’t just get away with an acting part as she also used her musical skills to write and perform two of the three original tracks for the movie. Named “You and Me and Christmas” and “It’s Christmas Eve,” fans of the Hallmark movies can be sure to take a listen to the holiday songs when they come out at a later date.

No word yet on when Rimes’ film will air on the Hallmark Channel.
