Lee Ann Womack Debuts “The Way I’m Livin'” Music Video
Lee Ann Womack recently debuted the music video for her latest single, “The Way I’m Livin’.” The song is the lead single and title track from brand new album, which is available in stores and online now.
Directed by Roger Pistole, the video was shot in an abandoned house on a working cattle farm outside Nashville. A departure from a typical Womack video, “The Way I’m Livin'” includes themes open for interpretation from fans, featuring live snakes, the notions of temptation and salvation and even the Devil him or herself.
“The Way I’m Livin’,” written by Grammy Country Song of the Year nominee Adam Wright (“So You Don’t Have To Love Me Any More”), is a scalding psychic meltdown of a lost soul, banging on the rocks and not sure they want any better. With a sweltering guitar and foreboding beat that turns dervish, Womack delivers her most blistering vocal since Buddy Miller’s “Does My Ring Burn Your Finger.”
Fans can also catch Womack on the upcoming CMT Crossroads with John Legend. The exciting mashup premieres Friday, September 26 at 10 p.m. ET/PT only on CMT.
