“There are no computer tricks, no artificial sounds. Songs that are pleasing to the heart — songs that make you feel something in your heart — they don’t need all that stuff,” Brice explained.

Lee Brice has come a long way in his career and will soon add a new chapter to his story with the release of his self-titled fourth studio album. Appearing on the project are 15 new songs, 11 of which were co-written by the South Carolina native, and all of which came about in a completely organic way.

“There are no computer tricks, no artificial sounds. Songs that are pleasing to the heart — songs that make you feel something in your heart — they don’t need all that stuff,” Brice explained in a press release. “Even when it sounds like a computer, I promise, we figured out a way to make that sound. To me, being real was everything. I wanted to put a little piece of everything about me, everything I am on this record. No two songs are about the same things, but somehow it all hangs together.”

Brice set out to make an album completely unique and stands out amongst much of the music coming out of Nashville. The resulting project, set for release on Nov. 3, is exactly what he’d hoped he’d create.

“I set out with a goal specifically to make an album that sounded like an album. And, an album that specifically had groove to it, without tricks…,” he told Sounds Like Nashville. “I wanted it to be me and my players and my actual drummer and my bass player, playing instruments, period. Because, the truth is some of the greatest records ever made might have only been three parts going on, but they were the right three parts happening at the same time. I just wanted to stay true to that.”

The project’s lead single, “Boy,” is currently at country radio. Fans can pick up a copy of Lee Brice on Nov. 3 Pre-order is available now.
