Country hitmaker Lee Brice recently visited Walmart Soundcheck to celebrate the release of his much-anticipated new album, I Don’t Dance.

The singer/songwriter performed several of his hits for the Soundcheck series, including “I Drive Your Truck” and “Hard To Love,” as well as tracks from the new album. Brice, who was named Soundcheck’s Artist of the Month, also sat down with the crew to discuss the inspiration behind “I Don’t Dance,” how his family has changed his life and career, and stepping out of his comfort zone to make his new record.

As always, Brice’s vocals shined during his Soundcheck performance. He always performs with such raw emotion, and that emotion really came to life in this performance series, especially on songs like “I Don’t Dance” and “I Drive Your Truck.” While we can always count on Lee to slow things down with hard-hitting ballads, he also knows how to have a good time. That side of the South Carolina native came out during his performances of “Hard To Love” and “Drinking Class.”

Brice, a husband and father of two, admits was greatly influenced by his life off the road when it came to making this album. “I’m learning now that life is just all about them and then music is next,” Brice shares in the exclusive interview clip. “Music has always been first in my life. I think my life has changed, even my career has changed, because of Sarah and because of this whole new happiness I have with family.”

He also opens up about his songwriting. Brice says it’s “humbling” and that he’s “so honored” to have his songs he wrote recorded by fellow country stars like Eli Young Band and Garth Brooks. Check out the clip below for more.
