Levon came full circle while shooting the music video for their single, “Ms. Marianne,” by heading back to the restaurant where it all began.
“Ms. Marianne” tells the true life tale of a restaurant romance between the lead singer, Michael David Hall, and a rather happy customer visiting the bar. As he recalls, the woman offered to go out drinking with him after finishing his shift and he scored himself a date thanks to his hospitable charm tableside.
While filming the video for the song, Hall chronicled the chance meeting while suiting up for his faux gig as a waiter at Wild Ginger. Although he played the role of the lucky guy who stole the customer’s heart, he spilled that the treatment for the video stayed pretty accurate across the board of what actually happened that night.
“A woman walked in and started flirting a bit. And she said, ‘Michael, would you like to get bourbon with me tomorrow night?’ And I was like, ‘Hell, yeah,’” he revealed about the encounter.
The behind-the-scenes footage also showed the new country trio relaxing after a hard day’s work with their director at the title character’s pool. Never taking themselves too seriously just as their current single highlights, Levon made the days and the shoot worth every minute with laughs ensuing along the way.
Levon formed together as a group when Hall met drummer Jake Singleton while working at the Asian fusion restaurant together. They gladly welcomed Ryan Holliday as their lead guitarist, and they’ve never looked back as they released their first-ever EP back in May. The guys have previously opened for acts such as Kelsea Ballerini, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum and many more.
