Carrie Underwood’s first full holiday album, My Gift, has officially arrived. The project, which has been underway since the ACM Entertainer of the Year wrapped her Cry Pretty Tour 360, includes an array of holiday favorites and original songs. Among the 11 songs is “Little Drummer Boy,” featuring a special guest: Underwood’s five-year-old son Isaiah Fisher.

“It was wonderful to have Isaiah be a part of what I love,” Underwood shared backstage at the ACM Awards. “You know, having that moment… I was like, ‘I don’t know how he’s going to do, I don’t know if he’s super excited to be there. If nothing else, he’ll have a fun day seeing what mommy does. It was such a great moment for me as a mom to have him share something that I really love to do, and he ended up being really great in the studio… I was so proud.”

Little baby Pa rum pum pum pum / I am a poor boy too Pa rum pum pum pum / I have no gift to bring Pa rum pum pum pum / That’s fit to give our king Pa rum pum pum pum, Rum pum pum pum, Rum pum pum pum,” Isaiah sings in the second verse.

“Whenever I think about that song, you know, I picture his face and his personality. That is so him. He would be the kid that would make you something and then bring it to you because that’s what he has to give you. That’s the whole sentiment behind ‘Little Drummer Boy’ is bringing what he has to Jesus, which is why I wanted to name the album ‘My Gift.’ Because I feel like the gift of music is such a blessing in my life and I really want to give that back to Jesus. So, it just seemed to make sense to me and Isaiah did such a great job on that song. I was the proudest mom in the world that I could share something I love,” Underwood told the TODAY Show recently. “When I heard the song back with his sweet little voice on it, I was laughing and crying. Just so many emotions, but I’m so proud of him.

My Gift also includes a collaboration with John Legend on “Hallelujah.” Songs from the record will be brought to life with a new HBO Max special set to air this holiday season. Pick up your copy of My Gift now.
