Little Big Town and Lauren Duski Powerfully Perform ‘Better Man’ on ‘The Voice’
Not skipping a beat or a note alongside the lead of Karen Fairchild throughout the emotional ballad, Duski proved to show her power as she only echoed even more dominance as a fifth voice to Little Big Town’s original repertoire.
When Lauren Duski of NBC’s The Voice stepped up to match the strong vocals from Little Big Town, she blended right in with the country group during their finale performance together.
The Team Blake member ended up in the runner-up position for the Season 12 finals, but that didn’t rain on her moment to shine alongside the famed country quartet during a rendition of their massive hit, “Better Man.” Not skipping a beat or a note alongside the lead of Karen Fairchild throughout the emotional ballad, Duski proved to show her power as she only echoed even more dominance as a fifth voice to Little Big Town’s original repertoire.
Coach Blake Shelton proudly looked on as his protégé nailed every moment during the Little Big Town moment. Even Kimberly Schlapman encouraged Duski on the last chorus, happily supporting her as they finished the song flawlessly.
Duski didn’t just get to command the stage with Little Big Town during the last couple episodes of Season 12; she also sang next to her mentor, Shelton, for “There’s a Tear in my Beer” and gave it her all on a whirlwind performance of “Déjà Vu.”
While Duski may have wound up in the second place position, Chris Blue from Team Alicia came out victorious as the Season 12 winner of The Voice. His win marks Alicia Keys’ first time with the trophy as well.
Season 13 of The Voice will premiere at a later date with Shelton and Adam Levine returning as coaches with Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson.
