LOCASH’s Preston Brust has his hands full after he and his wife Kristen welcomed a baby boy on Friday, Aug. 10.

Born in Nashville, Legend Wilde arrived at 6:39 p.m., weighing in at 8 lbs., 1 oz. and measured 19 inches long.

“…and just like that, our hearts have opened up in all new ways,” Brust told PEOPLE of the arrival. “Every map in life needs a Legend. We’re so blessed.”

According to the publication, Brust was scheduled to perform in Ohio that night before receiving the call that his wife was in labor earlier than anticipated. After canceling the show and booking a number of flights, Brust made it back to Music City in time for the birth of his son.

The couple, who are also parents to 2 ½-year-old Love Lily, announced that they were expecting in April with a sweet family photo.

“With full hearts, we’re excited to announce we have a new roommate movin’ in this #August!” the singer-songwriter wrote on Instagram.

Brust and his LOCASH bandmate Chris Lucas, who is a father of three, will take some well-deserved time off as the new dad spends time with his precious baby.
