Donald Webb, Brother of Loretta Lynn and Crystal Gayle, Dies at Age 76

Donald is survived by his wife, four children, 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and his siblings.

Loretta Lynn and Crystal Gayle are mourning the loss of their brother, Donald Webb, after he passed away at his home in Wabash, IN over the weekend. According to the 76-year-old’s obituary, Webb died on Friday, Oct. 13 with his family by his side.

Webb was born in Butcher Holler, KY on April 2, 1941 to Melvin “Ted” Webb and Clara Marie (Ramey) Webb. Born the fifth of eight children, Donald enjoyed spending time fishing, mushroom hunting and singing and playing music. He was proud to be a recorded songwriter, having had one of his songs, “Clock On The Wall” recorded by Gayle for her I’ve Cried the Blue Right Out of My Eyes album, released in 1978.

Donald Webb is survived by his wife Debra and their four children, daughters Janie and Donna, son Michael and stepdaughter Paula, in addition to his 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Loretta, Crystal, Peggy and Betty, brother Herman and stepsister Lawanda.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home in Wabash, IN.
