Love And Theft Have Busy CMA Fest Week Planned

Like many artists, Love and Theft will have a busy week during CMA Fest. The duo is nominated for a CMT Music Award and have plenty of appearances scheduled.

“We’re doin’ a bunch of fun things this year,” LNT’s Stephen Barker Liles said. “We’re playin’ acoustic at LP Field, then we’re playin’ Saturday morning at the riverfront, at 10am, bright and early — won’t be too hot, so that’s nice! Yeah, and we’ve got a bunch of events goin’ on during the week, so it’ll be exciting. We love CMA Fest.”

The “Angel Eyes” singers are both incredibly excited and grateful to be nominated for Vocal Duo Of The Year. “We are super psyched about that! We can’t wait to go to the CMT Awards and have a good time and stuff. So we’re really promoting…” Stephen said, followed by Eric Gunderson’s addition of “…dance around and fun stuff…”

Eric also recalled his first time attending CMA Fest and is amazed to see how his journey has come full circle. “The first year I moved to Nashville, I went down there and wandered around. I went to one of the shows at LP Field that year ’cause a friend of mine had an extra ticket, and I actually said I think this might be the coolest place you could ever play, ’cause you have tons and tons of people just going crazy that are there just to see country music. And just, you look out, and I got to stand on the side of the stage in the back and just look out at just an absolute sea of people, so that was pretty cool. So to actually get to stand on that stage and play a couple songs acoustically this year, it’s something I actually never thought would happen.”
