Luke Bryan and Casey Bishop Perform ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ On ‘American Idol’ Finale
AMERICAN IDOL - "419 (Grand Finale)" - "American Idol" is ready to crown its winner on a special three-hour live coast-to-coast season finale event airing SUNDAY, MAY 23 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. (ABC/Eric McCandless) LUKE BRYAN, CASEY BISHOP

Luke Bryan was joined by former American Idol contestant Casey Bishop for a lively performance of “Livin’ On A Prayer” on the season finale of the singing competition show on Sunday night (5/23). Bryan, dressed in a black leather jacket, sang the first verse of the song before throwing the second verse over to Bishop, who rocked out in a red and black outfit. The two then launched into the energetic chorus, as red and blue lights shone around the arena. The duo continued singing the song, trading off verses as fog was dispersed onstage and judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie sang and danced along. The artists then launched into the final chorus which took the song up a key and allowed Bishop to show off her impressive vocals.

Bishop made her return to the show after being eliminated last week and effectively finishing in fourth place in the competition. After her elimination, Bishop addressed fans on social media and thanked fellow contestant Chayce Beckham for performing with her.

“Every ending is a new beginning,” she wrote. “Thank you all for everything you do i’m so blessed. last night was everything i could’ve asked for and more, i had a freaking blast. finally getting to sing on stage with my absolute favorite person @chaycebeckhammusic was just magical. Love you all so much, this is only THE BEGINNING.”

Chayce Beckham ended up taking the home the trophy at the finale on Sunday, beating out other finalists Willie Spence and Grace Kinstler. During final four week, Beckham sang an original song, “23,” which was subsequently released as a single and landed at No. 1 on the iTunes Country chart and reached the Top 10 on the all-genre chart. Beckham was joined by country star Luke Combs on the finale, and the two performed Combs’ song, “Forever After All.”
