Trick or Treat: Luke Bryan Gets Halloween Scare From Wife Caroline
Caroline's tricks are our treat!
It seems Halloween brings out the mischievous side of some people, and that’s definitely the case with Luke Bryan’s wife Caroline.
“My wife bought those little things where the witch taps on the glass, so I get home off the road. It’s like 12:15 at night and I hear something go tap tap,” Bryan says imitating the sound coming from his window. “This witch—you stick it to the outside of your glass—and I look up and there is a witch tapping, so that’s what my wife does to me during Halloween. [I] choked on my toothpaste.”
The prankster is also in charge of the family costumes. “Caroline picks the outfits every year. I have no choice. I heard it was feathery this year,” he says with a grin while chatting with press backstage at the Grand Ole Opry where he was performing for the 11th Annual Opry Goes to Pink event to fight breast cancer.
Though his schedule is exceptionally busy this week, Bryan is looking forward to squeezing in some Halloween fun. “I’m doing makeup shows for the Farm Tour and I’m going to fly in and do Halloween,” he says. “Then I’ve got to go do [American] Idol, so I’m going to fly out late Halloween night and go do Idol.”
Though it’s a hectic week, Bryan definitely plans to make the most of the holiday fun before jetting off to work again. “We have a perfect neighborhood for it and we do a big picnic a couple hours before dark,” he says. “All the parents get around and the kids can tear the neighborhood down, so it’s pretty special. It’s a fun dynamic for us and we have a lot of fun with it.”
