It was a bittersweet weekend in the Bryan household as Luke Bryan and family said goodbye to his nephew as they sent him off to college.

In a sentimental Instagram post, Caroline Bryan gave her well wishes to Til Cheshire as he enters the next step in his educational career.

“I left a big piece of my heart today in Georgia. Been dreading this day for years, but I guess it’s time for Til to fly. Still can’t handle it right now! Good luck in college my sweet boy,” Caroline wrote in the caption, with a yellow heart emoji to show her love.

Luke commented on the photo, saying, “I keep looking to see if his truck is parked next to mine,” with a crying face emoji to show his sadness over the move.

It appears Cheshire is starting his freshman year of college at the University of Georgia based on a graduation post he put on his Instagram back in May.

The Bryans took Cheshire in as one of their own when he was just 13 years old after Luke’s sister died in 2007 and his brother-in-law passed away in 2015. Luke has also looked after Cheshire’s two older sisters throughout the years as well, maintaining the entire family unit as one.

Cheshire has gotten close with Luke throughout his teenage years, as the two go hunting and fishing fairly often. He even referred to Luke as his “best friend” in a birthday Instagram he posted on the singer’s birthday in July.
