Luke Bryan sent out a musical thank you to the nation’s medical professionals during ACM Presents: Our Country on Sunday night (April 5), delivering the optimistic strains of “Most People Are Good.”

Performing from his home as part of the star-studded special — which replaced the postponed 55th ACM Awards — Bryan first thanked all the brave men and women putting themselves in harms way to protect others through the global coronavirus pandemic. “Most People Are Good” was an obvious choice to deliver that message, with its positive outlook on the human spirit coming through in face-to-face style.

Dressed beachy in a white shirt and khakis (and sporting a bit of a sun burn) Bryan sang the uplifting track solo from a couch while joining himself on acoustic guitar.

The poignant moment was just one of many on the night, which also included from-home performances by the likes of Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett, Tim McGraw and many more — all to support social distancing efforts in the fight against COVID-19.
