Luke Bryan Reveals His Wife’s Favorite Song On ‘Kill the Lights’
Luke Bryan’s brand new album, Kill The Lights, is out now! The latest release from the ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year features 13 tracks, including his chart-topping hit “Kick the Dust Up” and his sexy new single, “Strip It Down.”
Another one of the album’s most-anticipated tracks is “Home Alone Tonight,” a sultry duet with Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild.
Luke was worried about what his wife Caroline would think of the song, but her reaction pleasantly surprised him.
“When we got done with ‘Home Alone Tonight,’ I was like, ‘alright what’s Caroline gonna say? I’m on here singing with another woman, talking about exes, and sending ‘em texts,'” Luke recalls. “But she loved it. It’s probably her favorite song on the album.”
As for how the collaboration with Farichild, came about, Luke says it came to him when he ran into her around town one day.
“After much deliberation and figuring it out, we arrived at Karen, and I had thought about individual female artists and I wasn’t thinking about a girl in a group and finally I saw Karen one day and I’m like – yeah. The lightbulb went off, and I told her and sent her ‘Home Alone Tonight’ and she really loved the song,” the Georgia native explains. “And we got it sung, and I feel like it’s just something that’s going to take me to another level as an artist, and I hope she’s that excited about it. I think she is, but it’s going to be a fun thing to watch unfold as this album gets out.”
