Luke Bryan’s reflection into the farmer lifestyle on his new EP proved to work quite well as he snagged the top spot on the Billboard Country Album Chart.

The five-song Farm Tour EP, Here’s to the Farmer, sold over 34,000 copies to find itself at No. 1 on the Country Albums Chart and at the No. 4 spot on the Billboard Top 200 Albums charts as well. Released in support of Bryan’s Farm Tour, the EP is sure to be well received by fans attending the quick autumn tour for the country star.

“What’s interesting is that a lot of that is what the start of my career was based on, and I think some of my fans from the way back will appreciate, you’ll be able to hear some of that that kind of sounds like my early record stuff,” Bryan said of the EP.

While creating the Farm Tour EP, Bryan also really wanted to hone down on the right sound like he’s done in the past with his Spring Break projects. This created a particular vibe that translated exactly what Bryan is going for on this tour and this specific release.

“I learned a lot doing the Spring Break albums through the years, so with Farm Tour album, it’s just to have those little nuances of farm-related things. Some of ‘em obviously scream more farm stuff than the others, but at the end of the day, it’s just all about (a) is it a great song that we feel like is worthy of making this EP? And (b) does it kind of go along with that rural [theme]? I kinda think Farm Tours will always have that ruralness, that rural theme,” Bryan explained recently.

Bryan’s Farm Tour kicks off this week. Tickets and information are available on his website HERE.
