Luke Bryan’s “Rain Is A Good Thing” Holds Strong At #1
Luke admits that he was a bit concerned about the song’s success as it began to climb the charts…which was the same time that Nashville was hit with a devastating flood.
“It was very ironic when it started happening,” Luke explains (via AOL’s The Boot). “I thought, ‘Oh Lord, it’s gonna be a little tough for Nashville [radio] stations to continue to support ‘Rain Is a Good Thing’ like they were.’ But they really did support it. Everyone understands that I didn’t mean that ‘rain is a good thing’ in the aspect of 17-inches in 10 hours. But I think rain is still a good thing, just not in such a high quantity that landed in the Middle Tennessee area.”
Luke will release “Someone Else Is Calling You Baby” as the next single from his sophomore album, Doin’ My Thing. According to Country Aircheck, the song was the #1 most added song at country radio on July 19.
