Luke Combs posted a cover of Carly Pearce and Lee Brice’s duet, “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” on TikTok recently. Combs was a co-writer on the tune, along with Pearce, Randy Montana and Jonathan Singleton. The singer posted the cover in honor of the single entering on the Top 10 on the country airplay chart.

Pearce reacted to the video on Twitter, posting a heart face emoji and a confetti emoji. She also reacted to the news of the song entering to Top 10 with a tweet on Monday.

“Woke up to the best news…. something I haven’t been able to say since 2017…. MY SINGLE IS OFFICIALLY TOP 10!” she writes. “This song is straight out of my own story of lessons, just like “Every Little Thing” was. THANK YOU for this- here we go @leebrice!”

“I Hope You’re Happy Now” was released as the second single from Pearce’s self-titled album in October. The full album was released on February 14, 2020, and also features previous single, “Closer To You.” “I Hope You’re Happy Now” is Pearce’s first Top 10 hit since her debut single, “Every Little Thing,” which topped the country airplay chart in November 2017. Her debut also boasts Platinum status.
