Fans of Luke Combs will get their hands on new music from the superstar when his five-song EP drops in June. Scheduled for release on June 7, The Prequel will feature new music from the crooner including his record-breaking single “Beer Never Broke My Heart.”

Combs had a hand in writing each of the five songs featured on the project, alongside some of his longtime collaborators.

Proving that he’s a force to be reckoned with, Combs’ single “Beer Never Broke My Heart” went to radio with the most adds on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart with 149 first week adds. It debuted at No.15 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and quickly worked its way up to No.2 on Billboard’s Country Streaming Songs chart with 11 million streams. It also landed at No.1 on the Billboard Country Digital Songs Sales chart.

The Prequel is the first release of new music since the debut of his double Platinum certified album, This One’s For You. Following its 2017 release, it spent a total of 35 non-consecutive weeks at No.1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. He’s currently nominated for two awards at the 1019 CMT Music Awards: Video of the Year (“She Got The Best of Me”) and CMT Performance of the Year (“Beautiful Crazy” from CMT Crossroads with Leon Bridges).

Fans can catch the hitmaker out on the road for his headlining Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour. Special guests on the nearly sold-out tour include Morgan Wallen, The Cadillac Three and Jameson Rodgers.
