As the global COVID-19 pandemic continues to claim lives and force people around the world to put plans on hold, Luke Combs says his impending marriage to fiancée Nicole Hocking is “all systems go.”

Talking with ET Canada via video chat from his home outside Nashville, the country star says he’s been spending most of his quarantine hunting turkeys, playing Call of Duty and working out (“It doesn’t look like it, but it’s true,” he jokes). But he and Hocking have also continued to get ready for their upcoming wedding. Although they have no real confirmation that it will go ahead as planned, “the original date is fine as of now,” Combs says, so they’re moving forward.

“Things are still on track as of right now,” Combs explains, while still not revealing the wedding’s actual date or location. “That’s all I know as far as that stuff goes. We’re still planning on doing it, we’re still picking out napkins and stuff like that, so all that stuff is all-systems-go.”

When it comes to the actual planning, Combs admits Hocking is doing “all the heavy lifting” with seating arrangements and important details. So that just leaves the “Beer Never Broke My Heart” singer in charge of the stuff he knows best — alcohol and music. “I’m just the good time engineer on this thing,” he says proudly. “That’s the official title I would give myself.”

The quarantine continues but Combs’ latest single is still on the move, as “Does to Me” (featuring Eric Church) is now and inside country radio’s Top 10.
