Easily ranking as one of country’s hottest new superstars, Luke Combs could put out an album of dog barks and it would probably go Platinum. But the hit maker has a better idea: dropping a deluxe edition of his record setting sophomore LP.

Titled What You See Ain’t Always What You Get and coming out October 23, the extended set will feature all 18 songs from his most recent studio project — the chart-topping, Platinum-certified, What You See Is What You Get — as well as five new tracks. Those new songs haven’t been revealed just yet, but Combs says fans won’t have to wait long.

“Excited to announce 5 new songs will be available on October 23 as a part of my deluxe album What You See Ain’t Always What You Get,” Combs wrote on social media. “Pre-order/add/save now via the link in my bio to hear the songs as soon as they’re released.”

The new project’s precursor set records for streaming and shot to Number One of Billboard’s all-genre album chart when it was released in November of 2019, and actually just topped the Billboard Country Albums chart again last month (for the 25th time overall). Meanwhile, Combs’ 2017 debut (This One’s For You) is still going strong as well, tying Shania Twain’s iconic Come On Over by notching 50 non-consecutive weeks at Number One, so the market seems primed to soak up some more Combs content.

His hot streak is continuing elsewhere, too, with “Lovin’ On You” looking to follow in the footsteps of his first eight singles, all of which hit Number One at country radio. Combs is also up for three trophies at the September 16 ACM Awards — Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year (for What You See Is What You Get) — and he and and his new wife, Nicole, were married on August 1.
