Maddie Marlow certainly won’t ‘die from a broken heart’ after marrying her high school sweetheart, Jonah Font. The couple said “I do” during a romantic ceremony on Friday (11/22).

According to PEOPLE, the couple tied the knot at The Barn at Sycamore Farms in Arrington, Tennessee in front of about 150 guests. Marlow admitted that she knew the venue was “the one” as soon as they arrived for a tour. “We loved how beautiful it was, but it also feels really cozy,” she told the publication.

Their winter-themed wedding was brought to life with the colors of maroon and mixed metal throughout the space.

“Ironically enough, maroon was our high school color!” shared the bride. “The general decor is very fall and winter-driven. It’s our favorite time of year so it felt perfect to blend the two together.”

When it came to their vows, the couple kept things traditional.

“That felt like a lot of pressure,” Marlow explained. “So we just wrote letters to each other to read privately and then [will do] the traditional vows.”

At the reception, their first dance as a married couple was to “Late to the Party” by Kacey Musgraves. The party continued to music from a playlist curated by the newlyweds.

Marlow and Font incorporated much of their past into their reception as well. Since they first met as 15-year-olds in high school, they hosted a picture table with a photo from each year they’ve been together.

“We just felt ready to start another chapter in life together,” the Maddie & Tae singer said. “It is funny to think [back] to being 15-year-old kids in love and to see how our love has grown over the years. Getting married was always a goal of ours, and this year just felt right.”

The couple will kick off married life with a romantic trip to the Exuma islands of the Bahamas.
