Maisy Stella of Lennon and Maisy has gotten accustomed to the ‘Nashville’ lifestyle, but she finally got her time to shine on the Grand Ole Opry stage when she performed a couple songs solo at the iconic venue.
Although she’s been to the Opry many times as seen on CMT’s Nashville as well as to perform alongside her older sister, Lennon, this marked a first in Maisy’s career since she never took the stage by herself until the weekend show.
Celebrating the occasion with multiple bouquets of flowers and well wishes from loved ones, Maisy felt so overwhelmed with support that she shared her thankfulness with fans on her social media accounts.
“best night ever ♡ thank you so much to everyone who came to the @opry show tonight to see me sing !! SO overwhelmed with love and support. so so so grateful. thank you thank you thank you. i love you,” she captioned the Instagram picture.
The career-changing moment was made even more memorable with the support of Charles Esten, who plays her on-screen dad, standing side stage cheering her on. Even snapping a few photos of the night on his own phone, Maisy expressed her gratitude toward her Nashville castmate for his constant encouragement both on and off set.
“me doing what i love and me loving chip for loving and supporting me ALWAYS ♡,” she said.
Maisy will continue to progress with her solo career as well as perform live with her sister from time to time. The two made it big as a duo thanks to their viral videos of covers, including their massive rendition of “Call Your Girlfriend” originally by Robyn. Lennon will also continue working towards a solo recording career after recently scoring a record deal with RECORDS and Columbia Records in a joint venture.
Fans of Maisy can catch her performing on new episodes of Nashville during their final season on television, which air Thursday nights at 9 p.m. EST on CMT.
