Maren Morris and Keith Urban Make Cute Exchange By Covering Each Other’s Songs
Right after Morris covered Urban's song, "Blue Ain't Your Color," he returned the favor by taking on her latest radio single, "80's Mercedes."
It seems like these two tourmates are good friends on and off the road!
Maren Morris recently was in Los Angeles enjoying some downtime from the ripCORD Tour when she decided to cover Keith Urban’s song, “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” during a soundcheck. Morris got down with the bluesy country track, adding her own vibrato into every line and getting a little soulful with it. She posted the short video cover clip to both her Instagram and Facebook, only to get a response back from Urban himself.

Rather than just give her a shoutout in the comments or send a Tweet thanking Morris for her contribution, Urban thought of a better way to show her some tourmate love: filming his own rendition of her current single, “80’s Mercedes.” Shot by his 5-year-old daughter, Faith, Urban jammed out on his acoustic guitar to the tune while relaxing at home with his family.

“A little Maren Morris while we’re hangin’ at home. #80smercedes,” Urban posted to both his Instagram and Facebook as well, giving production credit to his little daughter.
Morris reposted the cute video to her Instagram appreciative for all of his support even when they’re not traveling to the same city to play a show.
“I can’t think of a clever caption because this is just too cool for words. #faithwinsbestdirector,” she captioned the post.
Morris and Urban, as well as fellow tourmate Brett Eldredge, will continue their time out on the road together for the ripCORD Tour throughout the rest of the summer and finishing in the fall. Fans interested in seeing the tour can head on to Urban’s website for dates and ticket information.
