Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have welcomed a little baby into their family ‘hurd’ with the arrival of their son. The glowing new mom announced her son’s arrival with a photo posted to Instagram.

“Hayes Andrew Hurd. 3/23/20. Love of our lives,” wrote Morris with several photos from the hospital. Hurd also shared several photos of his son, with the caption of 3.30.20, his date of birth.

Hayes’ middle name is likely of major significance to Ryan and his family as it’s the name of Ryan’s late younger brother who died in a car accident in 2010 while driving home from soccer practice.

Morris and Hurd surprised fans around the world with their pregnancy announcement in October 2019. Days after performing at Nashville’s Ascend Ampitheater, Morris shared a gorgeous photo from a pregnancy shoot that showcased her growing bump.

“The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the ‘GIRL’ headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out. See you in 2020, little one,” she captioned the picture.

The couple celebrated their child with a stunning baby shower, hosted by their families, in February. Guests at the shower included Morris’ fellow country artists Cassadee PopeLindsay Ell and RaeLynn. The songstress also recently played to her biggest crowd yet at the Houston Rodeo, performing at nearly nine months pregnant.
