Country star Maren Morris has a brand new album coming out on March 25 — her third major label set, Humble Quest — and she’s lined up a streaming deal with Amazon Music to perform it live for the first time.
Set for March 26 at 8 p.m. ET at New York City’s historic Sony Hall, the show will air live on Prime Video globally, plus the Amazon Music channel on Twitch and within the Amazon Music mobile app via Twitch. It’ll be the fiercely artistic hitmaker’s first chance to play her new tunes onstage, before her Humble Quest Tour kicks off this June.
“It’s theater, darling! 🏙✨” Morris writes of the intimate album showcase. “To celebrate the release of Humble Quest, I’ll be doing a special live concert in NYC that, with the help of @amazonmusic, will be streamed globally on 3/26! Watch free on Prime Video and the @amazonmusic Twitch channel.”
So far, Morris has shared four fresh tracks from the new album, including the upbeat current single “Circles Around This Town.” Humble Quest also includes her chart topping duet with husband Ryan Hurd, “Chasing After You,” plus the album cuts “Background Music” and “Nervous.” The Grammy winner says overall, the project documents a “journey to redefine humility on her own terms as a grounded state of understanding one’s own truth, rather than the capacity to appear authentic to others.”
Viewers will presumably get a taste of most if not all of the album’s other new songs, and as a bonus, they’ll also get a little more. Morris is the subject of a new episode of Amazon’s The Walk In reality show, where host Mo Heart (RuPaul’s Drag Race) takes fans on tours through the closets of some of her favorite celebrities and artists. The livestream will feature a preview of Morris’ episode, which showcases her clothes from awards shows, big public events and more. The full episode drops in the Amazon Music app and on Youtube March 28.
Elsewhere, Morris just delivered a striking live performance of “Circles Around This Town at the 57th annual ACM Awards, and her Humble Quest Tour will begin June 9 in Raleigh, N.C.
