Martina McBride to Light Up 2017 Holiday Season with The Joy of Christmas Tour
"If this show doesn't leave you full of the Christmas spirit I'm not sure what will," said McBride.
The ho-ho-holiday season will be a bit brighter when Martina McBride hits the road for her first annual holiday themed The Joy of Christmas Tour. Kicking off on Nov. 24 in Biloxi, MS, the tour will criss-cross the nation for 16 special events.
“‘The Joy Of Christmas’ is a magical show full of beautiful scenery and classic beloved Christmas music as well as a few hits from my career. It’s a show for the whole family,” McBride said in a press release. “With this tour we create a sort of Christmas winter wonderland. If this show doesn’t leave you full of the Christmas spirit I’m not sure what will!”
The tour comes just months after McBride shared her plans for a yet-to-be-named holiday album with Sounds Like Nashville.
“When I made 1998’s White Christmas, I wanted to make a classic sounding record. I can’t do that same record again, of course, but this one is going to have several up-tempo things on it,” she explained. “It won’t have as many hymns on it. It will be more things like ‘Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town’ and ‘It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas.’”
Tickets for The Joy of Christmas Tour go on-sale to the general public on Friday, Aug. 25. Three levels of VIP Experiences will also be available for purchase through CID Entertainment. Packages include meet & greets, holiday cards, pre-show parties and more.
