Matt Stell Surprises Engaged Couples On Zoom And Performs ‘Prayed For You’
This was so, so sweet!
Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson Huff and country artist Matt Stell pulled off a pretty great surprise for two couples whose weddings plans had to be postponed or changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last week, Robertson Huff invited couples Angelina and Jared and Katelynn, whose fiancé Kaleb joined via FaceTime while deployed, to a zoom call. Robertson Huff then chatted with each couple about their engagement story and wedding plans. Angelina and Jared shared that they will most likely postpone their May wedding, and Katelynn shared that she doesn’t know when her fiancé will return from deployment due to travel restrictions.
After chatting for a bit, Robertson Huff told the couples that they actually have something in common: they both chose Matt Stell’s “Prayed For You” for their wedding song. She then invited Stell onto the zoom call, where he performed that special song for them live.
“I know that plans have changed for a lot of reasons for a lot of folks right now, and that sucks,” Stell said to the couples after his performance. “But I just want to tell you how much I appreciate you making that song part of a day that’s special and I’m really glad to get to meet y’all today. I know it’s going to all work out maybe a little differently than maybe you had it envisioned, but it’s all going to work out.”
“We are just so for y’all, so with ya’ll, and we want you to know that y’all’s love is what we’re celebrating, no matter if it had to be cancelled or not,” added Robertson Huff. “We know that there’s so many people around you to tell you that, but we wanted to be two more people to tell you that in a special way.”
