We all have heard that a dog is a man’s best friend, so RaeLynn keeps her heroic pup close to her no matter where she goes or what she’s doing.

The country singer, who has Type 1 Diabetes, adopted Jazz into her hectic lifestyle for him to be able to alert her when it comes to her blood sugar level. Jazz was trained as a service animal to let RaeLynn know if she needs to check her insulin or any other critical part of the care she takes to maintain her healthy diabetic state.

While Jazz sticks to his main position of helping his owner, it doesn’t stop him from getting to know the other people surrounding him during the tour life. He may remain loyal to RaeLynn, but Jazz still makes his rounds to become associated with anyone who crosses path with his doggy mama.

My handsome boy.

“He smells everybody, knows everybody. He just lightens the mood,” she told People in an interview recently.

Jazz even gets along well with her husband, Josh Davis, as well as their smaller and grittier Chihuahua, Dolly. Despite their differences, the two pal around with each other and playfully fight as doggy brother and sister around the house.

“He adores her!” said the country cutie. “She picks and chooses when she adores him. If she growls at him, he will get off his bed and let her have it.”

At the end of the day though, RaeLynn is just thankful for her trusty sidekick to stick with her through the ups and downs of her lifelong management of the disease.

“It’s cool to know that a dog is so loyal to you. He is loyal to another level. He never lets me out of sight,” RaeLynn admitted.

RaeLynn’s first full-length studio album, WildHorse, is out now.
