Michael Ray Breaks Through in ‘Get To You’ Music Video

Michael Ray is trying to get through to the one he loves in the new music video for his latest single. Supporting his recent release to country radio, “Get To You,” the clip shows the Florida native trying to share his heart with his girlfriend, only to get rejected… at first.

After trying to win her over and explain that he won’t hurt her like others in the past, Ray heads out on the road for tour, only to return and find his love waiting at his driveway for a second shot at love.

Releasing “Get To You” as the lead single from his upcoming album Amos was an easy decision for Ray as he’s seen both sides of the emotional track.

“‘Get To You’ is such a special song not only because it’s the first single off of Amos, but also because I feel that it’s something everyone can relate to on some level. I feel like we’ve all been on at least one side of this storyline (‘Why do you run away from love, what the hell are you so scared of/I’m trying, I’m trying to get to you’). In my case, I’ve been on both sides,” Ray explained in a press release. “I want fans to hear this song and be reminded that we’re all human–we all go through these emotions. It’s part of growing, and this song serves to remind fans they’re not alone.”

“Get To You” is just a hint at what fans can expect from Ray’s most personal release to date, Amos. Named after his grandfather, the singer dedicated the project to its namesake as he was the person to support Ray’s musical aspirations.
