Midland’s Mark Wystrach Engaged to Girlfriend Ty Haney
That ring is BEAUTIFUL!
Mark Wystrach of Midland is about to take a walk down the aisle after proposing to his girlfriend of more than a year, Ty Haney.
The couple announced their exciting news on Tuesday afternoon (5/28) with a slideshow of photos posted to Instagram.
“Popped THE QUESTION and @ty_haney had the answer I was lookin’ for!!!” wrote the groom-to-be with photos of Haney showing off her gorgeous new bling.
Wystrach’s proposal came as the couple reunited on her father’s farmhouse after nearly a week apart.
“It kind of was unplanned and just unfolded naturally when we were barefooted and on a walk with our little puppies,” he shared with PEOPLE. “It was right after a big thunderstorm, and the sun just popped [up] out of nowhere, and I knew it was a sign.”
The couple first met on a blind date after Haney messaged Wystrach on Instagram saying “Let’s hang.”
“I knew from the first moment I laid eyes on her that I was going to marry her,” recalled Wystrach.
No word yet on when the pair will tie the knot, but in the meantime, Wystrach is busy with his three-part band Midland. The trio recently earned nods for Group of the Year and Video of the Year at the 2019 ACM Awards after winning New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year in the year prior.
The band recently released their latest single to radio, “Mr. Lonely.”
