Before the 55th Academy of Country Music Awards on Wednesday night, Miranda Lambert continued the tradition of breaking out into song with her beauty squad in what she calls #GlamJam. This has become a fun ritual for Lambert and her crew, as they often lip sync a song before big events, with her squad using beauty items as microphones and Lambert often singing into whatever bottle of alcohol is on hand. This time was no different, as the group sang and danced to Aretha Franklin’s “I Say A Little Prayer” prior to the the show.

“We’re ready for the @acmawards tonight. Tune in y’all,” she wrote alongside the video.

Other #GlamJam videos have included Lambert and her crew singing “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” before a television appearance in 2016, and she has even included some of her fellow artists in the videos. In January 2018, Lambert, Maren Morris and her beauty crew sang “No Scrubs,” she got her friends Little Big Town in on the fun when they sang “24K Magic” at the 2018 ACM Awards, and the ladies of the Pistol Annies joined her on “Sugar Daddy” prior to their 2018 CMT Artists of the Year performance.

The 55th Academy of Country Music Awards took place in Nashville, TN on Wednesday, September 16. Lambert stunned in a blue western shirt with fringe, a sparkly belt, black jeans, and blue eye makeup as she sang her hit, “Bluebird,” at the Bluebird Café. The singer took home the award for Music Event of the Year for “Fooled Around And Fell In Love,” a collaboration with Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, Tenille Townes, Caylee Hammack and Elle King.
