Miranda Lambert has added to her four-legged family once again!
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the iconic film “Thelma & Louise,” the superstar adopted two Great Pyrenees dogs and named them (you guessed it!) Thelma and Louise.
The singer took to Instagram to share the news with fans this afternoon.
“I adopted these two beauties from Texas to keep watch over the mini horses,” she wrote. “Thanks to the @muttnationfoundation team they are safe and sound at their new forever home!!! I’m in love.”
Lamberthas always been an advocate of animal adoption. She founded the MuttNation Foundation, which “is a donation-supported organization with the mission to end animal cruelty, neglect, and homelessness,” with her mother, Bev, in 2009.
Earlier this spring, in partnership withPetmate, Lambert launchedMuttNation Fueled by Miranda Lambert, aa line of bedding, collars, leashes, toys, apparel, feeding and watering products united by a country chic feel with rock & roll flair.Every purchase from the line will help fund rescue and adoption programs of MuttNation Foundation.
