When two top-selling artists like Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert tie the knot, it’s only a matter of time until fans start buzzing about when they might make their family a little bigger. When it comes to kids, though, Lambert takes all of the questions with grace (and, as usual, a little humor).

“We have a lot of four-legged babies,” Lambert told Taste of Country recently. “Every time I think I might be thinking about it, I get a puppy and I’m like, ‘Nope, not ready.’”

Lambert’s not kidding when she has her hands full: after another winning year at the CMAs, the “Automatic” singer is set to release her next album Automatic this summer. She’s got a handful of a husband in Shelton, too, whose witty quips and musical expertise on NBC’s “The Voice” keep the star on our screens when he’s not dominating the airwaves with tracks like “Doin’ What She Likes.”

“We’re so busy,” Lambert said. “It’s this whole whirlwind right now, flying all over the place, and we’d like to be a little more settled.”

Despite the packed schedules for Lambert and Shelton right now, fellow country star Luke Bryan says he thinks the two will make great parents—someday.

“He’ll be a great dad,” Bryan told E! Online. “I would imagine he and Miranda certainly have plans for a big family, but they’re busy. Busy, busy people. But I know both of them would be awesome parents.”
