Miranda Lambert has released the sultry music video for her latest single, “Bluebird.” The clip debuted on Friday (3/20) after the superstar singer hosted a live Q&A on YouTube.

In the clip, Lambert is adorned in glitter and feathers while seated in a large golden birdcage, a la Moulin Rouge. She sings to the audience, all adorned in twenties attire. The video closes with Lambert spreading her wings and leaving the cage behind, like her bluebird counterpart.

And if the whole wide world stops singing / And all the stars go dark / I’ll keep a light on in my soul / Keep a bluebird in my heart,” she sings in the laid-back tune.

“I love ‘Bluebird.’ It’s a song like I’ve never written before and I’m so proud to be a part of it,” said Lambert of the song.  “Since I wrote it, I’ve been seeing bluebirds everywhere. The bluebirds had always been there – I live on a farm – but I never saw them like I see them now. It reminds me to open my eyes to what’s around me. Now, seeing a bluebird sitting on a branch means so much more to me. I see a little piece of hope there, sitting with wings, and it’s a reminder. I think this is one of those songs where every person takes what they need to from it.”

“Bluebird” is a fan favorite from the Texas native’s latest record, Wildcard. The album is currently nominated for Album of the Year at the upcoming ACM Awards, which have been postponed until September.
